Turf Installation in Romoland, CA
Last updated: April 2026
We install artificial turf in Romoland along Highway 74, Briggs Road, and Antelope Road. Most 92585 yards sit on decomposed granite under sandy topsoil, which compacts well after a 90 PSI plate compactor pass and holds infill through summer monsoons. Installs run $11 to $14 per square foot depending on pet drainage.
What 92585 Yards Are Dealing With
Romoland gets hammered by the same Pass winds that hit Hemet and Homeland. Soil out here turns rocky once you dig past four inches. We hit caliche on a job near Watson Road in February. Took the crew an extra half day to break it up before we could lay the base.
Lawns that were sodded over the original DG die fast. We are pulling out brown St. Augustine almost every month. Most of those yards never had drip irrigation dialed in right, and the EMWD meter charges out here are now high enough that homeowners are done paying for grass that browns out by July.
How Much Does Artificial Turf Cost in Romoland?
Our standard pet-grade install runs $11 to $14 per square foot. That price covers demo of existing grass, three to four inches of compacted Class 2 base, weed barrier, the turf, and silica or zeolite infill. Smaller jobs under 400 square feet cost a touch more per foot because mobilization and disposal eat a bigger share of the bill.
Putting greens cost more, usually $18 to $24 per foot installed. Drainage and contour shaping take time. We laid a 380 square foot green off Lyon Avenue last fall with three cups and a fringe collar. Two crew days, start to finish.
Soil and Drainage Around Romoland
Half the homes here drain straight to the street through poured concrete swales. The other half rely on sheet flow toward the back fence. Both work fine if the base is graded correctly. We slope at a quarter inch per foot minimum. Anything flatter and the infill gets stained by ponding after one of the September thunderstorms that roll over the San Jacinto valley.
The 1990s and early 2000s tract homes off Highway 74 have shallow grade behind the slab. We add a French drain when the back patio sits low. Skipping that step on a Romoland yard last summer cost us a return trip.
Other Services We Run Out Here
A lot of Romoland homes have aging concrete patios that are spalling at the corners. We replace them with pavers and sometimes wrap a fire pit into the build. See our paver patio and driveway page for material options. We also handle backyard putting greens and pet-friendly turf installs.
Areas We Cover Near Romoland
We run crews out of San Jacinto and pick up jobs in Homeland, Menifee, Perris, Sun City, and Quail Valley. Same crew, same materials, same warranty.
Booking an Estimate
Estimates are free and we usually walk a Romoland property the same week you call. We measure with a wheel, sketch the layout, and email a written quote within two business days. If a neighbor sees the trailer in the driveway and asks for a side-by-side number, we will give them one too. If we install your turf in Romoland, we would love to hear about it on Google with your street and the service we did.
