From clean broom-finish slabs to decorative stamped concrete that looks like natural stone, we pour it right and make it last.
Concrete is the foundation of most outdoor hardscape projects, and getting it right is about more than just pouring mud into a form. Proper concrete work requires correct sub-base preparation, appropriate thickness, reinforcement where needed, precise finishing, and careful curing. When all of those steps are done right, you get a surface that lasts 30 to 40 years in the Inland Empire climate. When shortcuts are taken, you get cracks, settling, and surfaces that look rough within a few years.
We handle all types of residential concrete work across San Jacinto, Hemet, Menifee, Beaumont, and the broader Inland Empire. Standard concrete patios and walkways with a clean broom finish are our bread and butter. These are the most cost-effective hardscape option and they look great as a border around turf installations, as a patio extension off the back of the house, or as a replacement for an old, cracked slab.
Stamped concrete is where things get interesting. After the concrete is poured and leveled, we press large texture mats into the surface to create patterns that mimic natural stone, slate, brick, wood planks, or tile. We apply integral color to the concrete before pouring and add a release agent during stamping that creates realistic color variation and depth. The finished result looks remarkably like the real material but costs significantly less and requires much less maintenance.
We also do exposed aggregate finishes, where the top layer of concrete is washed away to reveal the stone aggregate underneath. This creates a textured, slip-resistant surface with a natural, earthy appearance that works well for pool decks, walkways, and driveways.
For structural applications like driveways and heavy-use areas, we use thicker slabs with rebar or wire mesh reinforcement to handle vehicle weight and heavy loads. We install control joints at calculated intervals to direct any natural shrinkage cracking into those joints where it is hidden and controlled. Every slab gets proper slope for water drainage, because standing water on concrete leads to staining and algae growth over time.
Concrete pairs perfectly with our turf installations. A lot of our projects involve pouring concrete borders or mow strips around turf areas, building patio slabs adjacent to turf backyards, or creating concrete walkways that connect different areas of the yard. We handle both the concrete and the turf, so the project flows smoothly and everything lines up perfectly.
Decorative stamped patterns that mimic natural stone, slate, brick, or wood at a fraction of the cost. Multiple colors and texture options available.
Clean broom-finish or smooth troweled concrete patios sized and shaped to fit your yard. Proper thickness and reinforcement for long-term durability.
Concrete walkways connecting different areas of your property. Mow strips and borders around turf and landscaping for a clean, finished look.
Heavy-duty concrete driveways with rebar reinforcement, proper thickness, and control joints designed to handle daily vehicle traffic for decades.
From excavation to curing, every step matters.
We walk the site, discuss your goals, and provide a quote. Then we excavate, set forms, and prepare the sub-base with compacted gravel.
Concrete is poured into the forms, spread evenly, and leveled with screeds. Reinforcement is placed for structural applications.
We apply the chosen finish -- broom, trowel, stamp, or exposed aggregate. For stamped work, color and texture are applied during this phase.
We cut control joints, apply curing compound, and seal the surface. You get specific care instructions for the curing period.
Stamped concrete is a single poured slab that gets textured and colored to mimic the look of stone, brick, or tile. Pavers are individual interlocking pieces set on a sand base. Stamped concrete typically costs less than pavers and provides a seamless surface. However, if stamped concrete cracks, the entire section usually needs to be redone. Pavers cost more but individual pieces can be replaced, and they flex with ground movement without cracking. Both are excellent options and we install both.
Standard broom-finish concrete runs about $6 to $10 per square foot installed, depending on thickness and site conditions. Stamped concrete with color and texture typically runs $10 to $18 per square foot. Exposed aggregate and specialty finishes fall somewhere in between. These prices include excavation, forming, pouring, finishing, and cleanup. We provide free on-site estimates with exact pricing for your specific project.
Concrete reaches initial set within 24 to 48 hours -- you can walk on it carefully after the first day. However, full strength takes about 28 days to achieve. We recommend staying off the surface for at least 3 days and keeping vehicles off driveways for at least 7 days. During the curing period, the concrete should be kept moist to prevent premature drying and surface cracking. We will give you specific care instructions based on the time of year and weather conditions.
All concrete has the potential to develop hairline cracks over time due to natural shrinkage, temperature changes, and ground movement. However, proper installation greatly reduces this risk. We install control joints at the right intervals to direct any cracking into those joints where it is hidden. We also use proper thickness, reinforcement, and curing techniques. The Inland Empire's dry climate is actually favorable for concrete because there is less freeze-thaw cycling than in colder regions.
