From intimate gathering spots to full outdoor living areas, we build custom fire pits that turn your backyard into the place everyone wants to be on a cool evening.
There is something about a fire pit that changes how people use their backyard. It goes from a place you look at to a place you sit, talk, and spend time. A well-built fire pit becomes the anchor of your entire outdoor space, and that is exactly what we build at SoCal Artificial Turfs.
We design and install custom fire pits across the Inland Empire -- from San Jacinto and Hemet to Temecula, Murrieta, Menifee, and the surrounding areas. Whether you want a sleek modern gas fire pit with a rectangular design and fire glass, or a rustic round wood-burning pit with a natural stone surround, we build it from scratch to match your yard and your style.
Our fire pits are not prefab kits dropped onto a patio. We build the structure on-site using fire-rated block, pour concrete footings where needed, and finish with stone veneer, stucco, or matching paver materials. For gas fire pits, we run the gas line from your meter to the pit, install a CSA-certified burner system, and test everything before we hand it over. For wood-burning pits, we build with proper ventilation, heat-resistant liners, and a spark screen.
Most of our fire pit projects are part of a bigger backyard build. They pair naturally with paver patios, artificial turf, and retaining walls to create a complete outdoor living area. But we also build standalone fire pits for homeowners who just want that one feature to complete their yard.
Inland Empire evenings cool off fast, especially in the fall and winter months. A fire pit extends your outdoor season by months and gives you a reason to be outside year-round. That is what makes it one of the best investments you can put into your backyard.

Outdoor living features like fire pits are among the highest-return upgrades for homes in the Inland Empire. Buyers love a finished backyard.
Extend your outdoor season through the cooler Inland Empire months. A fire pit keeps your patio comfortable from October through March and beyond.
Round, square, rectangular, L-shaped -- we build fire pits to fit your space and match your existing hardscape. Choose from stone, stucco, block, or tile finishes.
Every fire pit is custom-built on-site. Here is what we offer.
Clean-burning propane or natural gas with push-button ignition. No smoke, no ash, no hassle. Perfect for patio entertaining.
Traditional campfire experience with heat-resistant construction, spark screens, and proper ventilation for safe outdoor burning.
Built-in seating walls around the fire pit in matching block or stone. Add cap stones for comfortable seating that fits 8 to 12 people.
Rectangular fire pit tables with a flat surface around the burner. Great for setting drinks and plates while enjoying the fire.
Gas fire pits are easier to use, produce no smoke or ash, and can be turned on with a switch. Wood-burning fire pits give you the traditional campfire experience with real crackling and wood smoke. Gas is better for entertaining and low maintenance. Wood is better if you want the full outdoor fire experience. We build both.
Portable fire pits generally do not need permits. Permanent built-in fire pits, especially gas-fueled ones that require a gas line, may need a permit depending on your city. Most Inland Empire cities require gas fire pits to be at least 10 feet from any structure. We check local requirements for your specific city before building.
A basic built-in fire pit starts around $2,500 to $4,000. A custom gas fire pit with a finished stone or block surround, seating wall, and gas line typically runs $5,000 to $12,000 depending on the size, materials, and complexity. We provide exact quotes during your free on-site estimate.
We build fire pits with fire-rated concrete block, natural stone, and stucco finishes. The fire bowl or burner pan is always stainless steel rated for outdoor use. For gas fire pits, we use CSA-certified burner systems. Decorative fire glass, lava rock, or ceramic logs are available as toppers.
