Repair, Do Not Replace

Fix Your Turf the Right Way

Artificial turf is built to last 15 to 20 years, but things happen. Dogs dig at the edges. A hot grill or fire pit scorches a section. Seams come apart after years of heavy use. Infill gets displaced by rain or foot traffic. When your turf needs attention, you do not always need a full replacement -- sometimes a targeted repair is all it takes to get things looking right again.

We handle all types of turf repair across the Inland Empire, whether the turf was originally installed by us or by someone else. The most common repairs we see are seam failures, where two pieces of turf have come apart and you can see the gap between them. This happens when the original installer used subpar adhesive, did not use seaming tape, or did not allow enough overlap. We fix it by lifting the edges, applying new adhesive and tape, and pressing the seam back together so it is invisible.

Patch repairs are for sections of turf that are damaged beyond simple re-seaming. Burn marks from grills or fire pits, areas where dogs have torn through the backing, or spots where heavy objects have crushed the fibers permanently. For patches, we source turf material that matches your existing product as closely as possible, cut out the damaged section, and seam in the new piece. When done properly, the patch blends in with the surrounding turf and you cannot tell it was repaired.

Infill replacement is another common service. Over time, silica sand infill can compact, wash away in heavy rain, or get displaced by foot traffic and pets. When infill levels drop, the turf blades do not stand upright anymore and the surface starts to feel flat and matted. We add fresh infill, brush it in evenly, and restore the turf to its original feel and appearance.

Edge repairs address turf that has pulled away from borders, pavers, or concrete. This usually happens when the original nailing was too sparse or the ground has shifted. We re-secure the edges with new galvanized nails and, if needed, install additional edging material to keep things locked in place.

We give free estimates for all repair work. We will come out, look at the damage, tell you honestly whether a repair makes sense or whether you would be better off with a full replacement, and give you a price on the spot. No pressure either way -- we just want to make sure you get the right solution for the problem.

What We Fix

Common Turf Repair Services

Seam Re-Bonding

Seams that have split apart or lifted get repaired with proper adhesive and seaming tape. We make the join invisible again so you cannot tell where the fix happened.

Patch and Replace

Burnt, torn, or permanently damaged sections get cut out and replaced with matching turf material. The patch is seamed in seamlessly with the surrounding area.

Infill Replacement

Depleted or compacted infill gets topped up with fresh silica sand or antimicrobial infill. We brush it in evenly to restore the turf's feel and blade support.

Edge and Border Repair

Loose edges get re-nailed and re-secured. If the original edging has failed, we install new border material to keep the turf locked in place long-term.

Common Questions

Turf Repair FAQ

Repair makes sense when the damage is localized -- a torn seam, a burnt patch from a grill or fire pit, pet damage in one area, or edges that have come loose. If the rest of the turf is still in good condition and the damaged area is less than 20 to 30 percent of the total surface, repair is usually the smarter move. Full replacement makes more sense when the turf is over 12 to 15 years old, the backing has degraded throughout, the infill is completely depleted, or the color has faded significantly across the whole yard.

Turf repair costs vary depending on the type and extent of the damage. Simple re-seaming jobs can start at a few hundred dollars. Patching a damaged area requires sourcing matching turf material, cutting out the bad section, and seaming in the new piece, which typically runs $300 to $800 depending on the size. Infill replacement across a full yard usually costs $1 to $2 per square foot. We give free estimates so you know the exact cost before any work starts.

Most turf repairs are completed in a single day. Re-seaming and edge repairs take a few hours. Patch jobs take a half day to a full day depending on the size of the area. Infill replacement across a full yard can take 1 to 2 days. We schedule repairs quickly because we know that damaged turf can be a tripping hazard or an eyesore that you want fixed fast.
